About our Biking Ride to Tule Tree
Embark on a journey from the heart of Oaxaca City to Santa María del Tule by bicycle, delving deeper into the historical significance enveloping this site, which has evolved under both pre-Hispanic and contemporary cultures. Guided by a local expert, you’ll gain insights into the rich tapestry of history along the way.
Prepare to encounter the widest tree in the world! Departing from Oaxaca City on bicycles, we’ll head towards the town of Santa María del Tule, home to the majestic cypress tree, over 2,000 years old! Rolling along a safe, flat bike path shaded by trees, seamlessly connected from Oaxaca City, we’ll make strategic stops to rest and take in the surroundings.
Upon arrival at the park housing this magnificent tree, there is a separate entrance fee of $20 Mexican pesos per person. After our exploration, we’ll visit the gastronomic market of Santa María del Tule, satisfying our appetites after the invigorating exercise!
Things to note:
A moderate level of physical fitness is required to complete the tour. Please note that the tour covers approximately 10 kilometers (a little over 6 miles).

Included in the tour package are bicycle and helmet rentals, along with expert guidance throughout the journey. Additionally, while breakfast is not covered in the tour price, we’ll ensure you have ample opportunity to enjoy a delightful morning meal.
Rest assured, our guide is extensively trained to handle any unexpected circumstances that may arise, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.

We recognize that circumstances may necessitate changes to your plans. If you decide to cancel your tour at least 24 hours prior to its scheduled start time, you are eligible for a full refund of your payment, with the exception of the Stripe commission fee.
Please understand that once this 24-hour window has passed, our guides are already committed and have allocated their time accordingly. Consequently, refunds cannot be provided as the guide must be compensated for their reserved time. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Almost never! Dress appropriately for the conditions. During hot days wear sunblock .Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. However, extreme weather will certainly cancel or postpone the tour. Please contact us for updates.
